Hello! I’m Abby (Agape~Abby Boxman). I am a licensed psychotherapist in New Jersey and my life mission is to support you from the "life quakes" which may have affected you. After experiencing my own personal grief and trauma, I found the support I needed to meet my needs. I discovered that sharing my personal story and having it witnessed by the right person, allowed me to process my pain. There is significant therapeutic shift in having your story held, heard and honored. 

This was the catalyst for me in pursuing my passion of providing professional support and healing to my clients. I realized that all types of losses and untreated trauma can and will manifest into chronic mental health conditions which can last a lifetime.

Have you experienced a non-emergent crisis or do you have barriers from past trauma that are causing difficulties? We all experience life events differently and my approach will be specific to your needs. The techniques I use will create a safe space to help build a solid therapeutic relationship for emotional healing. 

Trauma resulting from grief/loss, domestic violence and sexual assault, along with families affected by substance use, are areas of which I specialize. I offer Sandplay Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing EMDR, which are significant trauma based interventions. I also found that even sharing your story can be used to empower your process to restore hope.

My professional knowledge and personal strenghts are the clinical foundation which I will offer to you and for you. I offer a judgement free, supportive and empathetic environment.
